.........to reverse update 2.0.2?  I was perfectly happy with my Kindle the way it was prior to this update.  Its screen is now darker, so since some of you here said you were able to "force" the update when it didn't download from Amazon too quickly, I was wondering if I could "unforce" it to get it back the way it was.  I can read fine with it this way, but I would like the screen lighter the way it was.  Hope you all don't think I'm nuts but I do feel comfy asking this maybe dumb question here.  LOL Thanks

I don't think I'd try it. There is a big potential for things to go wrong unless you can do a reset and go back to an earlier version, i.e., I wouldn't try to overwrite a newer version with an older version.

But can't you do the factory reset thing.
You lose all your books and all.
But you can re-download all that.
Keep in mind that if you turn Whispernet on.....the update will automatically occur again (I am sure).
So I would not bother to try it unless I got Amazon to tell me how to block the update.
