Hello to everyone, I am brand new here. Just got a Kindle Fire as a gift. Got set-up and even bought a book and also found out how to check them out of my local library (free).

Okay, now I'm stumped. The Kindle Fire has a calendar but when I tried to use it it wanted a calendar to sync to (same thing happend with the contacts). Tried to set up with my Yahoo accounts but didn't work. I have no idea why or what to do next so was wondering if there is a good book for things like this?? Basically doing all the other things that are available but getting books.

Thanks in advance for any and all help or suggestions.

Welcome, starship.

I think you'll find everything you're looking for in the user guide.

Swipe down to access the menu ---> More ---> Help & Feedback ---> User Guide

You can type in your own search term or scroll through each section.

I also enjoyed this book:

The User Guide is very good; but even though accessed within your Fire, you must be online to access it, just so you know, starship!

Thanks, Betsy. I didn't realize you had to be online.

I downloaded it when it was free *blink*

I still think it's a good book for beginners, although I didn't realize the price had gone up so much.
