It's World Book Day, and I am the King.

Today is World Book Day, where people send their kids to school dressed like characters from their favourite books. As a writer, I don't want anyone to doubt my commitment to the cause of literature, so like everyone did in the 90's, I'm taking World Book Day TO THE EXTREME!

Hence, I've been dressed as the main character from this book for 33 years! Look.

See? Commitment. Handy tip: If you're planning on sending your children to school dressed as me, because all kids surely love The Beach Diaries, then you can assemble this costume with four simple things.

- 1 Jim Morrison wig
- A stick-on beard (permanent marker will do if they're all sold out at Beards R Us)
- A perma-scowl
- An overwhelming, deep-set aura of failure and self-loathing at your terribly poor Kindle sales

Have fun!

Well this is disappointing. I thought you people loved books?! But nobody saw fit to dress as me. Truly, print is dead.

Never mind. One class of kids love literature so much, they all adopted the outfit of the most exciting new narrator in books today. Show 'em how it's done, children.

That is the most nightmarish thing I have seen all morning, and this morning I found a website about cats with Nicholas Cage's face.
You people are disturbed.  I'll never look at Nicholas Cage or Saint Liam Neeson's School for Cool Kids the same way again.  (P.S. Is St Liam Neeson's School for Cool Kids similar to the Zoolander School for Kids who Can't Read Good??)

Well, I won't be needing these any more.

Having graduated from St. Liam's, I can confirm that kids from the Zoolander School were the ones we bullied out of their lunch money.

*BLUE STEEL POSE (without eyes though :( )*
