I got my new Kindle DX, which is spectacular!!!
BUT.
I out of nowhere, my Kindle 2 wireless just stopped working.
I have restarted the Kindle. No wireless.
I thought maybe the DX was causing some kind of interference.
But my Kindle 1 wireless is working perfectly.
Any ideas what could have happened.
My Kindle 2 was working perfectly up until I started using the DX.
Appreciate any feedback. Of course, I will call Kindle CS immediately in the morning.
But, now I can't sleep.  LOL
Thanks, Rich

WAIT!!!!  HOLD EVERYTHING!!!  Now it is finally working.
It kept coming up as 1x and then the wireless bars.  For about 2 hours.
Now it is fine.
The Kindle 1 and the DX never missed a beat connecting.
I am so glad it is just now working on the Kindle 2.
Sorry for my false alarm.  Thanks everybody. :)

Sorry you were having problems, Rich.  My first thought was jealousy.
Just kidding.  I'm sure that was very frustrating.
Glad it all worked out and is fine now.

Deb that was so sweet of you to post.
But guess what, now it is not working AGAIN.
THIS is very scary. I don't trust my Kindle 2 anymore.
It was working perfectly. I have no idea what is going on.
But it is very worrisome and disconcerting to say the least.

I know others have had connection problems, but I have not heard of connections that went in and out, so to speak.  My suggestion would be to keep a note of when it's doing this and give CS a call if it happens too many more times.
Please keep us updated on how this works out.
Happy Friday, deb

I wonder if something is going on with the Sprint network this morning. I am having some problems connecting and I usually am totally trouble-free.

It's everyone who got a DX trying to download their whole libraries, I tell ya!  ;D

But seriously, if the radio in your K2 has gone wonky I think it's a coincidence as opposed to some DX interference. . . .

I do think it could be related somehow. If it lasts much longer I would definitely call amazon cs.

When I started up my DX yesterday, it asked if I wanted to transfer my account, and noticed that the DX now has the same address as my K2 has/had.  Is it possible that a transfer of this type would deregister the older device?  Just a thought, and one more thing you can fret over. :)

Hi everybody,
Thank you so much for your messages.
I just got off the phone with Kindle CS.
It has been up and running all morning. The Kindle guy said that it could have been the Sprint
network for Kindle 2 and that's why the other devices worked.
He said he made a note of it, should it ever happen again. And not to be worried, since I reported it and
it is on record. But he thought I would not have any other problems with it.
It has been working fine all morning.
So I feel much better about it now.
I think Leslie may have been right.
Thanks for all your handholding and support. It helped.
