I have a call in to Kindle Customer Service -

DD kindle (which stays in her oberon cover -she is in high school!) the screen is stuck.. I've done teh hard reset - and all it does is add another layer of yuck -

you can see the 'dead author) then there are stripes when I did the first hard reset I got a strip of white- I can almost make out the place where it says to slide and... bar...

DD goes to "camp" (at a college campus, its more of a reading learning camp - she was counting on her kindle!) Monday - we leave at 7:30 am - she is freaking out...

Thank you. Those links were very helpful, although I am surprised as dd rarely takes her kindle anywhere!

CS said they'd overnight one so shell have it for "camp"!
