I need to know how I can view .mobi files from my computer thru the Kindle app on IPad. So far I see that the app only allows downloadable content to be viewed. Is this true?

I would think there is a way I can take a .mobi file I created and open it for viewing inside my IPad or IPhone thru the Kindle app.

Put the Send to Kindle app on your computer, then use that to send the .mobi file to your iPad. Open the file with the Kindle app.

I just tried it with a book file I had (.prc) and sent it to my iPhone successfully.

Otherwise, you can drag the file into the Kindle app part of iTunes.
