Kindle exchange question

I just bought a K3 wifi from Staples. Now Amazon has come out with the 3G + wifi+ special offers. I am thinking of "trading up" but what happens to the books on my wifi? Will I lose them?

If you have purchased books from Amazon, they will be in your Amazon archive and available to you to download to your new Kindle when you register it to your account.

If you have purchased books from other sources, you need to make sure you have backed-up copies on your hard drive, which you can then copy to your new Kindle via the USB cable.

Hope this helps,

Leslie
Thanks Leslie, that did help. Now I have another question! LOL.
Do I need to delete the books off of my wifi so they will be archived?
They're already archived. . . .but if you are selling or giving away your old Kindle, Amazon says you should remove all content.  The quickest way to do that is to do a factory reset from the menu.
