That was only for the K1. To reset a K3, slide and holding the power switch for 15 seconds before releasing.
By the way, next time use a more descriptive post title. All questions are about the Kindle on this forum, so "Kindle" is not a very informative title. Try something like "How to reset a Kindle?", etc.
