Hi,
I have wondered at the large print option on Createspace, and wonder in what circumstances fellow authors here think it worthwhile to publish a large print version of their book.

Also, if one is talking Garamond 12 pt or Garamond 11 pt as normal, what size would large print be?

thanks!

Per Wikipedia, "large print" is defined as at least 16 pt, preferably 18 pt.

Personally, it's on my eventual to-do list. I do my own formatting and such, so it would cost me time to do. I doubt I'd sell any, but my thinking is that it wouldn't hurt to have the titles available in that format. *shrug*

In what circumstances? Do old people like your subject matter? Yes? Do large print. :)

There's some younger people who do read large print versions, but for the most part it's people with eyesight not so grand anymore.

That said, it's also a marketing gimmick. More editions of the book means more lines on your book's page.
