I participated in the YA Spring Fling Giveaway that Sarah Dalton so graciously put together. I had many entrants interested in Visions, so as a result, I decided to do a free promotion. I'm still a bit away out from publishing Vanished, so I figured there will be plenty of time in between to do another promo during release week. So today is the start. The line-up is as follows:

4-28: Fussy Librarian $18 Total sales: 644

Total spend $233.99 It's more than I wanted to spend, but I'm hoping to gain some new email sign-ups, reviews, and/or follow thru sales to Deceptions.

Visions started with a paid ranking of 71697.

As I write this, Visions has sold 370 copies and has a ranking of 635 in the free kindle store. But I think Amazon hates me because they took away the ranking numbers underneath, so I have to manually hunt them down. It's #5 in YA Mystery and #2 in YA Mystery-detective. It's #56 overall in YA. I didn't look for anymore. I don't understand why it's not showing up, it was there earlier. lol

I informed my daughter of how many downloads and she couldn't believe it. It may not be a huge number to some, but it is to us. She is the only reason why I went ahead and published this book. I'm a little astonished to see the different countries represented in the sales. My little story (that turned into a trilogy) sat trapped inside my computer for four years and now is spread around the world?!? It blows my mind.

I will update with the results when I can.

After selling 644 yesterday, the ranking is 290. #2 in YA Mystery and Thrillers and #27 in Young Adult.

I'll be busy with work today and will post updates when I can!!

Thanks everyone! I tried using different advertisers this time around with the exception of BKnights (since the book is free this time). When I release the third book, I wanted to do another free promo with Visions and reuse some of the advertisers that worked well last time plus a few of these. I'm hoping for an August/Sept release. Do you think that's enough time between the two promos?
