I've had my Kindle2 now for a couple of weeks but just used my Mighty Bright Light for the first time last night. I have the M-Edge Executive cover and the Mighty Bright clipped very nicely on the wide spine of the Executive.  The Mighty Bright has two light settings which actually controls either one or two very bright white LEDs.  I found the the second setting, just one LED is plenty bright enough for me.  I wasn't sure how much I'd use the light but I think I'll be using it a lot.  Since I've only used it once I really can't speak about battery life. I may end up using rechargeable AAA batteries if the Alkaline don't seem to last long enough. So I give the Mighty Bright two thumbs up!!  It matches well with my M-Edge Executive Case...

I have a question about the total weight of the K2 in an MEdge cover and then the Mighty Bright w/batteries.  What is your opinion?

Do you hold it in one or both hands or do you set it on your lap?

I have the K2 and the MEdge Prodigy and have a Cole Haan on backorder.  I need to get a light.  It's really necessary since the K2 screen is a darker shade of gray than my Sony reader is.

Actually I was sitting in bed when I used it last night.  I was sitting up and had my legs bent and had it sitting against my legs.  I just tried it sitting here on the sofa and held it, it didn't feel to heavy to me.  The Mighty Bright may be heavier than other lights because it uses 3-AAA batteries which are cheap to replace.  I also clipped the Mighty directly on the kindle while in the M-Edge cover, it was more sturdy for hand holding.

I generally lie on my side holding the cover with the light in my left hand and click the next page with my left thumb and it doesn't seem too heavy to me . . . I love the light too - the actual light that came with my M-Edge Executive doesn't light the page well enough for me.

Amazon says:
Amazon.com Product Description
Do away with disposable batteries and keep your portable electronics running for years with this four pack of GE/Sanyo AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries. Built for long-lasting use, the 1,000 mAh batteries last up to four times longer than standard alkaline batteries, making them ideal for digital cameras, audio devices, and other high- drain electronics. More significantly, when they run out of power, you don't have to throw them away and clutter up the landfill. Simply put them in a charger and recharge them either fully or partially, depending on your needs. All told, these batteries can be recharged up to 1,000 times without experiencing a memory effect.

Also, I liked that they were 1,000 mAh instead of the usual 800 mAh.

The LED's last forever (Literally), they can not be changed.  That's the advantage of LED's, never have to replace them and very low power consumption.
