Anyone using styles in word to prepare their manuscripts? I just read Guy Kawasaki's APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur, and he goes on at some length of the benefits to writing with word and using styles to prepare your manuscript for publication. I've always used word and prefer it to everything else I've ever tried; however, I'm just not seeing the joy with styles, at least not for fiction. Perhaps styles is more useful with nonfiction, but it's entirely likely I'm just doing it wrong.

Anyone find it useful? Any tips?

I know some believe word to be the devil, but I like it.

I highly recommend Microsoft Word and using it's styles. When used correctly, it will give you absolutely perfect formatting, including a fully clickable TOC and links (on the Kindle) and no need to convert to anything else.
