I just noticed that the margin settings on the Kindle app on my Nexus 7 seem to be off. I prefer the setting with the least margin area, yet when I hit that setting the margins are still quite wide. When I raise the type size just a bit, the margins are even wider, making the text a narrow column down the center of the screen. For what it's worth, all if my page settings are pretty typical - within the range for normal reading. I normally read on my K3 and have never had this issue. And on the occasions when I've read on the Nexus app, I don't remembering having this problem until now. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bug? Is there a fix? It's quite distracting. Thanks.

I don't often read on a non-Kindle device, though I have the Kindle app on both my phone and tablet and haven't noticed the problem on either of those.

I'd check to be sure it's not some hard coded formatting in that particular book -- try it with a different one.

If all books behave the same way, I'd suggest deleting and re-installing the app.

Is this problem happening with all your kindle books or only one? If it's only one or some, then it's possible the publisher did something wrong. I have a nexus 7, and the margin on the narrowest setting is about 7 mm (less than a centimeter) and doesn't change when I change the font size.

Thanks everyone! I had actually tried to reinstall but that didn't work. Not sure why I didn't think to try another book, after reading this thread I tried and the margins were fine. Definitely an issue with the book itself. Thanks again for the help.
