"Meggings" and waiting on rejections/replies/judgement..

Happy 2013 KB pals!

I'm sure I'm barely recognizable to regular KB users, as I've been away for quite some time, and therefore am happy to take on born-again-newbie status if that's required ;) .

Anyway...in my time off I decided to adapt my first book "Year of the Chick" into a screenplay (since I had lots of fun writing a different screenplay in 2011 and doing the contest rounds). Finishing the screenplay now puts me in this strange place of having full control of my self-published books without every worrying about rejection + waiting on a review of my screenplay, trying to get noticed...and worrying about rejection. Weird combo.

So that's the kind of writer I'm going to be in 2013, I guess, basically...all over the place.

I discussed the specifics of the screenplay thing and the need for distractions, as well as an in-depth analysis on "meggings" in my first blog post of 2013...if you are faint of heart in regards to men's fashion and also in regards to insane prose (which is the best definition of my blog), you're advised to just skip it ;)

Alright then, looking forward to hanging around more to see what people are up to! :)

I can deal with rejection. I can deal with feeling infinitesimal as I wallow in obscurity, watching other authors, better authors rise as I bang my tin cup on the sidewalk with nary a glance from a passerby. But I can't deal with meggings.
Welcome back, Romi! And good luck with the screenplay. I actually did kind of the opposite to you by adapting many of my stage plays into books. And some of those books have since been adapted into audio books, which are sort of like radio plays...and so the cycle continues...

As for meggings, I think they're an abomination, but I know that Superman swears by them.
I didn't know what meggings were.  Then I looked at your blog.

You have stolen my innocence.  Damn ye.
vrabinec: meggings are indeed an abomination...

Andrew: thank you! You've been very busy I can see, congrats on continuing to put yourself out there  :)

ElHawk: I'm so sorry to have done that to you...  ;D
Hey Romi, I remember you from TNBW. I've tried writing screenplays before, but my ideas are all scifi/fantasy epics that would cost way more than a studio would be willing to spend on a first time screenwriter. So I'm beginning a fantasy serial this month that will supplement my novels based on the same characters and world.

I don't know what meggings are. And now I don't want to know.

Hi Nicholas, it's a small Internet world! ;) Good luck with the serial, that sounds really interesting! (and I will spare you the meggings definition, haha :p )

Too late. Without really meaning to, I saw the pictures on your blog.

My eyes! The goggles do nothing...
