This is seriously cool. You can see which words were entered into the dictionary in the year of your choice (for example, your birth year).

I'm as old as empty calories, LOL!

Interesting!

I was born in the fifties and there are a lot of words I wouldn't have expected in my birth year, such as computerize, RAM and clip-art. I would've expected it to be a lot later that they became widely enough used to be put in the dictionary.

On the other hand, there are words that I would've expected to have been in use earlier. I can see myself spending time rumaging through this site!  ;D

A lot of entries from my birth year. Real interesting ones like: Botox, cisgender, cybercafe, MP3, pole dancing, roofie, rootkit, IM, LASIK, spyware, and... wifebeater.

Seems reasonable enough to me, although I would have thought something like 'roofie' would have been added in the 80s and not the 90s. Everything else aligns pretty well. The early 90s were a wild time.
