My newest bizarre 1-star review...

Actually, I do not hate this book, Freedom's Sword,. I haven't read it yet, but if I don't fill ihn this block, none of my reviews will be valid.
*heavy sigh*

I must admit some of the Amazon reminders are a bit heavy-handed, but do any of them say that?

Reported.

I just don't understand some people.
Thanks for reporting it. It isn't my first 1-star review by any means, but it's nice if one actually has something to do with the book.  ::)

No, I totally know what you mean and why it was annoying/upsetting. We've all got thick skin around here; has nothing to do with that.
I have reported it - this is absolutely ridiculous to give a 1* and not even reading the book. Mind boggles. ???

It's not so much that she didn't read the book as that she said she had to give the review--that if she didn't her reviews would be "blocked". ???
Reported. That is just mind-boggling.

Christ, 60+ reviews. I wish I had more than 1 review... *sigh*
Reported and "down liked"
Reported. I don't know what Amazon is doing these days that people are getting so many reviews like that!
Reported and down-voted. What a bummer. I hope Amazon sees fit to take it down. In the comment box that popped up, I wrote: "Reader admits to having not read the book."
Ditto. What the hell are they talking about? Is Amazon forcing them to rate something for some reason?
I just got one of those remind to review mails. When you click on the link, the page lists a whole bunch of books you've recently purchased and not reviewed yet. A whole list of them. You can't just give stars, you have to fill in the title and review fields which show up as large blocks. And the "submit" button is grayed out unless you fill in those "blocks". There's a little note in there saying that writing something is "required".

Maybe this person thinks you have to fill out all the "blocks" in the list, for any of your reviews to be submitted? He probably has not gotten round to reading that one yet, and was reviewing one of the others?
I'm wondering if we'll see an increase in mistake 1-stars, as in readers mean to give 4 or 5 stars but do not know/understand how the star system works and leave a low star rating. I just noticed two new 1-stars on Scary Mary that appear like they should've been higher, even one 2-star looks like maybe it should've been higher.
What was the missing verb in your response to that comment?  I'm truly amazed? chagrined? disappointed? destroyed? embiggened? excreted? exalted??
My most bizarre review is a brief one that calls my 'Depths of Deception' book 'anti-American.'

Given that I consciously chose to come to the US and start a new life, and had to study and pass an extensive exam in order to become an American citizen, it does make me rather want to kick the reviewer in the head :)

Reported and downvoted... "Reviewer admits not reading book, review not based on content." How does she write so many reviews but not understand how Amazon works?
If I thought I was being forced to make a review, I'd average it with the other reviews for that book.  1-starring some innocent author for the reason given is extremely inconsiderate  :-\
Ergh! That just plain sucks. She could just as easily have give three stars for average, or even five. Why go for one??
