Hi guys!
So today is the first day of my novel going for 99 cents. It's not the Countdown deal, because I blew all my free days last month when I didn't know what I was doing.  I still have no idea what I'm doing, so before I go paying for various services that are not going to help me in any way, I figured I'd ask the gurus first. Here's what I've done so far:
1. Tried to book with Book Butterflies, but they couldn't run my ad, since my novel was free last month.
2. Booked a tweet gig with desertgirl on fiverr.com. I heard she is good.
3. Tried to advertise on Buck Books, but you first have to get approved for an affiliate program and I still wasn't approved even though I applied last night...
Woke up this morning - and not a single book sold. And here I was thinking that people would be flooding Amazon site in an attempt to snatch my masterpiece.  ;D Now I'm just confused. Yesterday I got the list with all the promo websites from you guys. I guess I'll just start going down the list and see what I can do :). But any advice would surely be appreciated!  :-*

Have you contacted book bloggers and requested a review or offered to do a guest post? I really do believe that book bloggers are one of your best marketing tools, and they are free! They are passionate about reading and spreading the book love.

Hi Sherry! Thank you for your advice :) I already got featured a few times and I have a book tour scheduled for March 19. I was just looking for websites that can advertise and boost your sales during the 99-cent days... Oh well, I'm just going down the list of allll of them - will let you know how it goes! So far - nada!
Hang in there. What I would do next time is line up some ads first, and then put your book free. Here is a great resource one of the authors, C.Gockel, put together here. I love it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oDHYU0iRzOJVUyHfvNIAQWKm1K5icJ-HesAsB2D-Kmw/edit#gid=0

Thank you :) Yep, that's my mistake - I don't plan things in advance. Note to self for the future :'(
