I released my fourth book three weeks ago and sales are poor. I promote with banners on Facebook and Twitter, Amazon kindle select, Facebook groups, my website and I have an AMS campaign. I need suggestions on places where I can promote for free or at a reasonable rate.

I know I have to build a portfolio of more published books but in the meantime I'm interested in visibility and building up sales to recoup my costs. I've provided links below to my latest book on Amazon called Boy Undone and to my website. My author name is Aaron Blackwood.

Hey Scott,

I took a look at the blurb which is awkward and the Look Inside which doesn't appear to be written by a native english speaker. The sentence structure and word choices seem distinctly foreign, like a translation from Mandarin almost. I think you need to hire an editor to help you smooth out your sentences. People might click your banner but when they read a lackluster blurb and that Look Inside I can't imagine you'll get sales.

Stop the promotions right now and save that money for editing.

I was not really sure what your book was about after seeing the cover and reading the blurb. Then I checked your categories and discovered that it is apparently either gay or multi-cultural romance. Bearing that detail in mind, and re-reading your blurb, it made a lot more sense. So, I definitely think your cover is not working for you i.e. it does not clearly signal the genre of your book. It is the biggest stumbling block at the moment, though your blurb might also be improved.

Actually, I find your blurb intriguing...but your new cover is very different from your others.  Maybe, that could be part of the issue?  Best of luck with whatever you decide!

ETA: I've had great results with Fussy Librarian, but that was for FREE first in series.
