It does take time.  I recently changed mine.  It was showing up in my dashboard within hours, but took a day or two or more before it showed up on the website.

I was concerned because I had a promo scheduled and was hoping to have it run with the new cover.  Thankfully, the covers updated on the website around the same time the promo started, so all was well.
