I have been looking at(and drooling over) the Kindle for many months and now I have one! I just could not resist the $50 discount. Got it a week ago. It was not love at first sight, but the more I use it the more I love it.

The day it arrived I was heading off to the lake for the weekend where there is no computer and no wireless coverage. All I could do was read the owner's manual. Maybe that was a good thing. If I could have downloaded a book right away, I might have skipped that step. I bought my first book as soon as we approached the city.

Still it's too bad you couldn't grab at least one book for your trip.  I haven't even gotten mine yet and I have three books and the FAQ waiting to be downloaded as soon as possible.
