My new romantic comedy, The Girl In The Coffee Shop, was just released on Amazon yesterday and I already received a sale! That makes me very happy.

When Bed Green went live it took a while longer to get the first sale.

A toast to all the writers out there, wishing you all success.

I remember my first month. I was lucky to get a sale every other day and ended up with about 17 sales for that month in ebook. Now, hundreds per month of each book.

Congrats, and here's to the future!
Thanks Brian. I think every author here wants the same success you have, me included.

I am doing my best not to check the sales page anymore until later tonight. And even then I am going to try and prepare myself not to expect another one so I am not disappointed.

Ah, the first sale... so special. Just like your first... (ahem)

Anyway. Congratulations! I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you in this crazy game, and so far, the thing that works for me is reviews. Seems like any good review gives an almost instant uptick in sales (which is no news to anyone else, but a joy to see in action).

And also: look at the forums linked on your book page at Amazon. I went on there and said hello when my book went up, and it resulted in sales. Amazon have recently moved all author promotion stuff to a particular forum, but it doesn't seem too much like a ghetto so far; actual readers keep popping up and asking what's good in their preferred genre. I know I've had sales from there, so it's a good (and easy) place to start.
