I'm posting an article covering the story to make sure people know it's legitimate simply because right now the servers are getting hit too hard and the actual download page isn't working. There's a link to download in the article, though, and I definitely recommend anyone with any interest in this sort of thing to download it. CS2 is an older version of course, they're on CS6 now, but it's still amazingly powerful software. I can't be sure, but since it says the entire suite then other things like Dreamweaver and such should be available as well.

Edit: Well it's back and you don't even need to sign up for it anymore. No idea if this is another mistake or if they realized the opportunity they were missing, but it's up and working as of this edit. http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html

Well boo.  I figured it was too good to be true... or that maybe Adobe finally saw the light and wanted to actually try to put up a fight against free software like GIMP.

I have no idea if they rethought their decision or not, but the download page for Photoshop CS2 is back up again and doesn't even require you to have an account now. It includes Acrobat 3D 1.0, Acrobat Standard 7.0, Acrobat Pro 8.0, Audition 3.0, GoLive CS2, InCopy CS2, InDesign CS2, Photoshop CS2, Photoshop Elements 4.0/5.0, and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. Just download the files and the instructions to install if you need them and use the serial number they include in the far right column when it asks for it during installation.
