Sun Bleached Winter by D Robert Grixti

Genre: Post apocalyptic/horror
Length: Novel
Price: $4.50

What would you do if the world ended?

Lionel Morton and his sister, Claire are alone and in danger in a world frozen by nuclear winter. Survivors of a cataclysmic event that brought human civilization to its end, they're forced to face starvation, rabid animals and the savage remnants of humanity just to stay alive. When a fading radio broadcast calls to them and hints of sanctuary, they're forced to make a difficult decision: keep fighting through the wasteland in search of something that may not be real, or give up hope and wait to die in the terrible cold.

Sun Bleached Winter is a dark, violent story of survival, desperation and loss that explores the truly terrifying reality of the apocalypse in a world where good and evil are meaningless and where killers and cannibals lurk over every hill.

Welcome to KindleBoards, and congratulations on the book! :)

This is just a friendly reminder that KindleBoards is a Readers and Kindle Fan forum. Authors are always welcome to post anywhere but, as you browse the 'boards, please keep in mind that self-promotion, of any sort, is ONLY allowed here in the Book Bazaar.

A brief recap of our rules follows: (Note that this doesn't mean you've done anything wrong; we just want you to have a ready reference, so post this note in every thread. :) )

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts outside the Book Bazaar constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post. For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum. Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards! Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Bump!

Hi everyone, just bumping the thread to place a link to a blog post I made this week: http://drobertgrixti.com/2013/02/01/by-the-fire-flash-fiction/

The above link leads to By The Fire, a free short story that I've posted on my blog. By The Fire is set in the same world as Sun Bleached Winter and acts as a prequel from the point of view of a secondary character. If you haven't read the novel, it's a good taster of the bleakness you'll find within and, if you have, you might appreciate the extra backstory.

Enjoy :)

I'm also currently running a giveaway over the next seven days. I have five Kindle editions of Sun Bleached Winter to give away for free! All you have to do is leave a link on my Facebook page or Tweet an Amazon link, and enter by leaving a comment on this blog post: http://drobertgrixti.com/2013/01/26/626/. Anybody who enters gets a copy of my short story collection Blood 'n Shadows absolutely free as a consolation prize, so why not give it a try? Good luck!

A new bump for a new review!

Sun Bleached Winter got a five star review on Horror Palace.com today. Links have been added to the top of this thread, but you can also check it out directly from this link: http://www.horrorpalace.com/2013/02/08/sun-bleached-winter-book-review/

If such a glowing review isn't a good reason to snap up a copy, I don't know what is, frankly.
