wow, I've just pre-ordered Karin Slaughter's new ebook, due out May 26th for only 49p in the UK, can't see a price for it in the US.

It's already 193 in the UK paid kindle chart.

I didn't even know you could pre-order ebooks! ;-(

I think the reason you can't see the price for it in the US is because you are based in the UK? Amazon does this for copyright reasons. So if you are based in the UK, you can only buy books from Amazon.co.uk and if you are based in the US, then you can only buy books from Amazon.com and likewise from Amazon.de if you are based in Germany.

Actually, (and I am in the US), the book's page says "This title is not available to customers from the United States." So it's not yet available for pre-order in the States.

Just read your post. The only other reason I can think of is that the seller does not have the US rights to the book. They may have sold the US rights to someone else.

That's strange, considering Karin is a US writer!

I was so excited when I saw it was 49p I thought I'd share, nice to grab a bargain when we can.
