You can actually hear the sound of the opening cash register and see the dollar signs in the eyes of everyone posting in this thread

But, I think we all know that even though there are MASSIVE amounts of books being released, not many of them are spectacular (or even readable in some cases) so the numbers are actually in our favor. At least in my experience, the indie authors on KB are among the top echelon of books being released and there really aren't that many of us. Wait, that sounds like I'm including myself in being at the top of the indie spectrum. I'm not, but I would put the books I've read from other authors on here on the short list for quality work. Now I sound too self deprecating... I give up, but you get what I'm saying, right?
