What will be interesting will be to see what sales are like when there are five million ebooks for sale.

I think this is the reason that you want to be establishing yourself as an author now and build an audience, as opposed to doing it five or 10 years from now. I'm not saying a new author won't be able to make it 10 years from now, but they're going to have to work that much harder.
