Yay! Congratulations!
Thanks. The font is Champignon Medium and one of my favorite script fonts.Salvador Mercer said:Congrats and I like the font on your cover, the cursive looking one!
I'm waiting for my two proofs (why did we both get 2 eh?) due via CS on March 16th.
Best of luck on your prints!

Colors were off from one I did on my high quality laser printer at work, and I am not sure why. I had to rasterize the file to get it below their max, and that may have been the source of the color shift and some loss of transparency in the Photoshop adjustments I did to the image of Rachel. It also came out darker and with less color range. I will do some tests at work and use a printout of the uploaded image compared to the earlier version to see if I can identify the source of the shifts.Melody Simmons said:It looks lovely! Did the red colour turn out the way you expected? Did the cover turn out darker, lighter or the same as on screen?
Thanks.terric said:Congratulations Lane! It's so exciting to get proof copies, to actually hold a physical book in your hands. Somehow it makes your creation seem so real. Love the cover.
Thanks for the reply. Many authors report the colour comes a little darker so one has to make the paperback cover a little lighter I think. Did you submit a CMYK or RGB file? I am not too sure but it might affect colour range.Lane Casteix said:Colors were off from one I did on my high quality laser printer at work, and I am not sure why. And thank you.
CMYK. I built the file in Illustrator using Photoshopped images of the frame and Rachel. I had to take it back into PS to rasterize it and reduce file size. I will look for another way to manage file size on the updated version.Melody Simmons said:Thanks for the reply. Being a POD service though I have heard that the same book may also be printed slightly differently in hue depending on what book was printed before it (they print only one or two books and there may be some ink left in the machine), so it is a bit unpredictable. On the whole the differences are very small though and most authors are very pleased with their books from Createspace.
Absolutely. I order three proof copies, even though my formatters at Polgarus Studio do such a good job I really don't need to, and keep one for myself. It's awesome to see and handle the new book for the first time. (If anyone wonders, after I OK the proof I use one for a Goodreads giveaway and send the third to Willow the cover artist.)terric said:Congratulations Lane!
