Putting the word 'series' after the name of your series?

I know some people do it and some don't but what are your opinions on it? I haven't done it so far and I think the series name after the title looks okay on my Gothic Warrior shorts, but kind of goofy on my novel (like it's part of the title or something). Thoughts?

As long as you put the book number so readers know the order, I don't think it matters all that much. If it doesn't look right to you, leave the word series out:)

I guess you have to manually put the number after the text since putting it in the box on KDP doesn't actually make it visible?
Personally, I don't like "series" up by my titles.  I put the title up higher and then, above my name, I put Book 1 (2, etc) of The Gastien Series.  I also wish I hadn't put Part 1 and Part 2 on the first two books in the title.  At the time I thought those were the only books about Gastien, I hadn't been planning a series.
It's not on my covers, but I make sure to categorize the books during publishing as parts of a series. Then, in my product descriptions, I make the distinction that the books are part of a series and should be read in a certain order.
