I'm working on a moderately complex section of a novel. The scheme involves a character who is giving a slide presentation. The content of the slides in critical to the plot. I'm thinking of embedding images of the slides in the book, but having mixed thoughts.

On one hand, I've always subscribed to the school that if you can't describe it in words, it shouldn't be in the book (or you suck at writing such things).

On the other, I've seen several books with maps, charts and other reference images.

It's only three slides, but I've never seen it done in fiction.

Thoughts?
