I've got 4 one-star reviews out of 48 total.

Thought I'd rank the one-stars, for fun.

Least favorite >>> Favorite

4. No story to it just this guy who like to talk about what a stud he was. Never finished the third page.

3. I bought this book based on the description and great reviews. What the description and reviews left out was the EXPLICIT SEX WARNING. I flipped the 'next page' > button several times and the sex description did not stop. When I bought this book I did not realize it was a porno in print. My only consolation is I bought it during its promotional free period, so nothing lost. I doubt I will ever finish the book if all it contains is sex.

2. I think this book was meant for the 18 to 21 year old. It takes place in Los Angeles. The characters have names like Inside Girl and Lesser Me. I just didn't get it.

1. Inane, vulgar, pointless .. Could not wait to erase it from my library so it would not pollute the rest of my books. Does it seem harsh? Sorry I could not tell you how I really feel

I don't have very many reviews to choose from. But this is definitely my one of my favorites, simply because I knew the reader read the story and though deeply about it, and really what more is there to want from a reader than that? (Okay, five stars, but!)

I was never quite sure what the author wanted to convince me about Christianity. She may have wanted to illustrate that God did NOT create humans to be robots, programmed to automatically love, worship and serve Him, but He created them with free will to love, worship, and serve Him because they have consciously made the decision to do so. On the other hand, the author may have been trying to portray the opposite--that Christians are merely robots unable to think for themselves. It could have been a better story with more development.

I assure you with my hand over my heart that all my one-star reviews are either unfair or lies or both. Hence, it is impossible to rate them. :p

Hey hey! What happens on Amazon stays on Amazon. You will get tasered by our quilted masters for bringing the carnage to this doorstep.
Oh wow. I thought you wrote, "You will get tasered or quilted by our masters..."

Then I thought about all the patches on Betsy's quilt and thought, wait...what if they're people?!! Oh my god...

In other words, time for me to go to bed...without the quilt. Because now their scary.

Yup, never a good idea to talk about the reviewers.  They are people.  And the internet is much smaller than you think it is.

I'll put in a nice one star review story for balance.  One of my books begins with a swear word in the first sentence, and I've a couple of one star reviews based on not wanting to read a book "full of swearing".  One of my readers wrote a comment on one of the one star reviews pointing out there was only a couple of instances of swearing in the entire book.

The reviewer said she'd give the book a second chance, fell in love with the story, read the entire trilogy and gave me a couple of five stars.

So that's my favourite one star review. ;)

My favorite one-star reviews are where they get all huffy about the content of my book.

This is NOT for teens. (no quotes, because I am paraphrasing here.)

I wouldn't want a sixteen-year-old to read this.

etc.

My next favorite are the reviews in which people come to the conclusion that because the bad guys do bad things, the book somehow endorses such behavior. This I find endlessly humorous. :)

I LOVE my one stars. They sell my books and give my books credibility. Also, they steer people who wouldn't like my books away from them, saving their time and saving me from MORE one stars. In no way would I ever want a reviewer not to give me a one-star review if they didn't like my book. Please do not feel intimidated, oh nonwriters anonymously stalking the WC. You are providing a service. I love your crazy-awesome one-starness.

You've stumbled upon the dark secret of KB. We are actually not even people anymore chatting on here - just patches. Thousands and thousands of patches upon Betsy's quilt all trying to live out their dreams but never being able to realize them because we're stuck within the borders. Then when she takes a patch out like Hugh - he becomes real.

I'm just gonna stand here and wait for Officer Krupke to tazer you all into unconsciousness and then quilt you all alive.  ;D

I'm just kidding, Betsy...wait, no! Get away from me with that tazer! AHHHHHHHHH!

LOL! I did too! XD That image is horrifying. I even had to grab Betsy's image and magnify it just to see if I could see all the tiny little author faces embedded in the quilt...

Instead of this, I think we should do a thread in which readers rank the authors who whine the most about reviews. I wonder, if it's the readers, not the authors, starting a thread like that, would the mods shut them down? Would they dare to risk making the customers angry?  ;D

Well, I'm not a quilter but I have custody of the cattle prod today.

In fact, reviews from elsewhere should not be reposted here for any reason.  So the thread is locked for now.  We'll discuss it though, in an undisclosed location, and will re-open if we feel it should be.
