Really Struggling
I have really been struggling lately. I am right in the middle of book three, and I've come to a part that has stopped me cold. It has to do with a memory that I never delved into too much before. I have this overwhelming urge to contact a police officer to ask a question concerning the situation I'm writing about. It's nothing that would get anyone into trouble.
I guess I'm writing this trying to find the guts to just do it. I've mentioned it a couple times in chat too. I feel like such a chicken. I actually had the phone number ready to dial my local office.
But, it's extremely difficult for me to even think about talking about with a PO. So, this is me trying to bolster myself up.

Plenty of writers contact professionals to ask all sorts of questions. If you feel uncomfortable calling your local cops, why not send them an email? Just ask if you could make a phone appointment to ask some questions for a writing project.
