Oh, more Victorian writers! How delightful!

Here are some websites, youtube-links, and suggestions of classic and modern books that I have found both enjoyable and helpful.

Food and more from the Victorian era (with Sue Perkins!)

Classic books:
The Brontë sisters, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, especially the Penguin edition (read the footnotes!)

Modern authors:
Sarah Waters (Tipping the velvet), Belinda Starling (The Journal of Dora Damage), and Susanna Clarke (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell).
Jane Austen handbook Margaret Sullivan (wonderful and quite funny too!)

Best of luck with your writing and research!
