Hey everyone,

Just redid my website from top to bottom. My new release is scheduled for July 2. Would love you guys to visit site and tell me what you think. I've put a lot into it after researching what makes a good author site and what gets the most newsletter subscribers.

I really like your site. Nice job! Love Cody.  :) I have 2 Shih-Tzus and they also have sock monkeys. I signed up for your newsletter and just liked your FB page. Looking forward to reading The Abduction of Nelly Don.
Thank you so much! So what are the names of your Shih Tzu's?

Excellent site. Clean, easy to navigate, great visuals.

Looking for something to nitpick about:

1. The "Books and ..." menu heading, doesn't work with all the options, and I think the last one is a typo.

Currently reads:

Books and all my works
Books and just books
Books and just screenplays
Books and just stage play

Maybe:

My Work ...
My Books
My Screenplays
My Stage Play

You could eliminate the "all my works" option, since most people will be interested on one category or the other, and it's easy to jump to the others.

2. The pwm (at) patricewilliamsmarks.com thing may not be necessary these days, due to more efficient spam filters. Users are more likely to contact you if they can do it with a click.

3. Perhaps in addition to your "I Want it for Free," you should have a "Sign up for my mailing list" option somewhere. Us authors know what your button means, but someone who wants to sign up might not. (??)

But it looks great.

Nice site.

Hacking Kickstarter? If I was going to ask for money online, I'll get that. :p
Thank you so much for your suggestions! I'll be making a few changes tomorrow. Currently editing my book!

Thanks. I get quite a few emails a month from people who say it has really helped them.

PS Saying "Sign Up" makes people not want to sign up. You have to come up with a more creative way to get them to register; make it seem like they are getting something of value and not just another newsletter.

I'll be making changes using your other suggestions. Really appreciate you taking the time to review.

Looks killer on my iPhone, smooth and slick, which is good since Google is looking at mobile friendly these days
Awesome site!  It was clean, simple, very visual.

The only thing I noticed is that the links to the May 2015 newsletter don't go anywhere, not from the home page or from the blog post.

And as cool as it was once I clicked on the "I want it for free" button on your home page, the "Survival Instinct on Steroids" didn't really tell me what I was clicking on.  I left the Home page and checked out all the other pages before I was even tempted to go back and click the link just to see what it was.  Perhaps some additional teaser underneath "Survival Instinct on Steroids" that gives visitors a compelling reason to click on the button, since you really want those e-mail subscribers.

Overall, excellent site.
I like it
Did you use wordpress? If you did what theme did you use?
Don't know what your site looked like before but it is looking really good!

Maybe instead of putting your book trailers hidden away on the Channels page embed some into the Home and Books pages - so the image shows and people will click on it?
Excellent. For once "responsive" templates are actually responsive!

Overall, excellent site.
Hi, Patrice.

Great website -- didn't have to time to look at everything, but what I saw is sophisticated and easy to read.

I am an editor in real life, so typos just jump out at me. I hope you don't mind -- I've listed them here. Again, I haven't read the entire site.

Crime Boss' -- I think you mean "Bosses"?

Where it says "playright", change to "playwright".

I've been working 12-14 hour days for two weeks to completely redo my website. I hope you find it easier to navigate, easier to leave comments on posts, and enjoy all the videos and projects I've added. I decided that I should add my screenplays as well to the site; not just the books I've

End the paragraph with the "I hope … added."
OR, add the rest of the sentence to "I decided" before the jump.

This reminds me that I need to set up my website. Cute dog! (Don't tell my cat I wrote that.) ;)

Thank you so much for pointing out the issues! I didn't expect such detailed responses to this. Very appreciative. I'll be making the changes over the weekend, once I finish making the developmental edits given to me on my Nelly Don book.

Susie & Billy. They are my writing companions. :)
HI, yes, it's wordpress. The theme is Elite by Organized Themes. I have used the same theme for 3 different sites; each looks completely different. Check out www.CampCultClassicsFest.com

Bill, the guy who developed the themes, gives first class support and responds to questions within hours of posting.

The trailers are also at the top of each book page for people to view. Also, the latest video shows if you click the red button on the home page.

Maybe I should do more?

Thanks for your comments.
