Having just launched I Made These Up I naturally ( ;D) kept checking the book's page to see whether I had sold any copies. Disappointed to see nothing on the rankings I went to the reports and was excited to see I had sold my first copy. It was a while before I saw -

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #186,627 Paid in Kindle Store

This is the ranking on .com after selling one copy. It might be useful for the number crunchers ::)

It's now five hours later and still only one sale but the ranking has changed. Someone might find this info useful  ::)

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #201,552 Paid in Kindle Store
Yeah, with a just-published title, it can take several hours after its first sale for its rank to start showing up. It's kind of interesting to watch the rank (and know the sales numbers) of a new title. They have to sell a lot more to achieve a given rank than books that have a sales history behind them, and they lose rank really quickly.

I just thought that it might be useful to show the figures because with a new book and only one sale it's easy to see what is happening with the ranking.
