Do some books just not have samples available? I just randomly passed by this book's listing:

I really am not sure how I ended up there But anyway, I noticed that there was no option to download a sample and I wondered what was up with that, as I have never seen that before!

The file size looks small.  Maybe if they sent a sample there wouldn't be much book left to send.  JK.  That is interesting.  I don't think I've seen that before.

This looks like it was a self-published/indie book from 2007. In the first 6 months or so of the Amazon DTP program (desk top publishing), they did not provide samples of the books. That changed in May 2008. So, some of the older self-published books, such as this one, won't have samples. The author would need to take the book down and republish for a sample to appear.

Isn't there an option for the publisher/author not to allow samples, too?  Or did I dream that up?
