Electric Literature (http://www.electricliterature.com) is a brand new, bi-monthly anthology of short fiction.

Each month, it provides "five great stories that grab you" - - gripping narratives from America's best contemporary writers. Their goal is to facilitate a renaissance of the short story.

You can see a preview of their current issue here: http://www.electricliterature.com/current-issue.html. It includes a short story from Michael Cunningham (Pulitzer-prize-winning author of The Hours) and four other authors.

We thank them for being a sponsor of KindleBoards. Check out ElectricLiterature!

Thank you Harvey for making yet more options available to us here at KB.

This is exactly what forums do best - provide interaction among the members and expose the members to new ideas/info.

Just sayin....

I went ahead and bought the 1st issue (at Smashwords, non DRM version ;D), as I've said I love a good short story.  I'm going to try and get to the stories in the next day or so and will report back my thoughts.

Oh, that's timely, Forster - I just registered us as a Smashwords affiliate. (Trying to compensate for Amazon not paying for our sales of Kindle Store books any more.)

Here's our link to the current Electric Lit issue on Smashwords:

O.K. Harvey, so what does that mean for us as far as purchasing, etc. Is it that you get some money if we buy from them? And do we need to link to the site through these boards like we do for Amazon?
We would get a small commission. I haven't created an easy way to make links to Smashwords books yet. But in the meantime, if anyone is so inclined, the following link will cause KB to be credited for any Smashwords purchases made once you get there.
