I like the idea, but it's kind of vague.

They missed out two important points - firstly between the "yes" and "self publish" they should have put "prepare to become an alcoholic" and after the box about "send your MS off" there should be another that says "get on with the rest of your life in the meantime because you may have a long wait."

Kindleboards has warped my mind. I read that first line as "What is your goat for your book?"

They missed the feedback loop. Each of the terminal nodes should be followed by a True/False branch. For example, the agent terminal node under money should be followed by a branch for "Money - Yes/No?" If the answer is "No," then what's the next step?

Well, that's not true at all. Plenty of unknown novelists get agents.
