Yes, but if I'd wanted to read that on my Kindle, I'd probably already have it. :) I'd be more interested in finding authors I've not read yet in my mostly futile quest to find that next one whose catalog I must devour; and some sort of hint as to what they actually write would make me more willing to expend that calorie or two it would take to click on the link and then read the blurb on Amazon.  8)

By the way, I see that the late Sir Terry Pratchett's Night Watch is on that list. If for some reason I could only have one Discworld book for the rest of my life, this is the one I'd choose; so anyone who's at all interested but doesn't yet own it: buy it! 8)

I suppose I'd find it more useful if each listing included some brief hint as to what kind of story it is. (I.e.: I can't judge a book by its cover. ;) )
I used to copy and paste the book description when posting ebook deals to my blog but it got to be too much - it took too much time, and took up too much space. When you've got 10+ good ebook deals to report, it's just not feasible to include a description of each. So I started just posting the cover, which links to the Amazon page so it only takes one click to open it and read the description.

I know nothing of Discworld. Can this be read as a stand alone book or is it part of a series?

Yes, and yes. :)

Discworld is more of a milieu than a series, and except for the first two novels, each is a stand-alone novel in that it is a complete story with no cliff-hanger endings. Within the milieu, there are a number of recurring story arcs which make more sense to read in sequence, just so you see how the character arcs within them evolve. I think a new reader could enjoy Night Watch by itself, but s/he would probably enjoy it more after reading the first few other books in the City Watch story arc, which starts with Guards! Guards! (which was my introduction to the Discworld, and mainly just luck that it happened to be the first in this arc). And now, the best news, Guards! Guards! is also currently available at $3.99:
