So... a weird thing happened with my Kindle...

I recently got a replacement Kindle (K4) after one of my buttons stopped working. I had to return one replacement because the screen looked awful, and registered the second replacement about a week ago. It was registered to my account, and I got everything transferred over. Today I went to buy a book on amazon.com, and saw that my Kindle wasn't one of the download options (there are a bunch of devices on my account). I looked on my Kindle, and it was unregistered. I registered it again, and got a message saying Special Offers were deactivated. Um... why? I had Special Offers on my original K4, and didn't request to disable them. I don't really care one way or the other, but just want to make sure I'm not going to be charged to disable them. Anyone have this happen before? Should I do anything?

If you had been charged for the SO removal, you should have gotten charged already--did you get an email? You should probably contact Kindle CS just to be sure (Amazon US customers inside the US: 1-866-321-8851, outside the US: 1-206-266-0927. Other customers, see here. )

I'm not sure what happened, though...could be a post Christmas burp in Amazon's servers...
