Bet there are a lot of folks out in the woods with GPS units that are slightly lost.  Solar flares really screw up that stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty humbling, and frightnening, to realize that a simple thing like that would be enough to obliterate the entire planet and wipe out all civilization.
