Anything I purchased from Amazon still goes to my default device.
Books I borrow from KU (unless I borrow them directly on a kindle) only go to my Amazon library.

Interesting. I'll have to pay attention next time I get a book from KU. My recollection is that it would go automatically to my default device and then I could send it elsewhere much like a librarary book.

I remember it behaving like this too. But at some point in the past year or so it changed. I tend to browse for books on a computer, and when I was borrowing from KU things stopped going to my Kindle. It was weird.
