Yes - I downloaded a book on kaballah - I sent it to my Kindle e-mail and Amazon converted the PDF file into a .awz file - and sent me back a link - - I then connected kindle Via USB and moved the file into the documents folder- voila ! - there it was ! Cool !

Thank you!!!!!  I just sent a PDF to Amazon and poof, there it is ready for my kindle.  It's been a book  that I have had on my computer for 6 months and I hadn't read it yet.  Thanks, now I will because I don't need to balance my laptop thru 100 pages. 

I love all the techie tips on this board.  Keep them coming.

I have dozens of PDFs converted on my Kindle, if its a texty ebook it usually converts very well. The complex or graphical ones do not convert well.

The vast majority of the World Library's ebooks are stuff that is from Project Gutenberg, etc., so are free anyway;  they seem to just provide links to several of the collections.  We Kindle owners tend to already know about sites like that.  Why pay $8.95 for stuff that is already free?

There are a lot more collections than just project gutenburg on world library - there are 1/2 million books, e-documents and mp3 Audio books ! - you have to check it out to be sure. It is an amazing site and well worth the $8.95 per YEAR!
