These stories are mostly set, as Lovecraft's were, in the 1920s and 30s. All except for THE SHADOW OUT OF LONDON, which is set in the near-future. HPL did write some science fiction as well, after all.

The other short novels are set not on the Atlantic seaboard but in Ireland, Hong Kong and in the UK before World War II.
