With the New Adult Genre gathering steam, I thought it would be good to start a thread where people can share their work with the world.

If your book is aimed at those just out of school (aka 17-24) and has coming-of-age, relationship, or other early-twenty themes, this is the thread for you. Simply add a description and link to your book, plus any recommendations you may have (try to keep all suggestions under $5)

Here's Mine - Happy Reading:

Beyond Parallel
One boy. One girl. One insignificant moment that changes their lives forever.

Bella and Clark are two young twenty-somethings, finding themselves in a chaotic and crazy world. One craves love; the other avoids it. Will they find one another, or will a single what-if moment send them down different paths?

Most lies are told with the expectation that no one will uncover them. In the summer of 1979, when I was twenty-one, I told a monumental lie, fully aware that mine would be discovered.

"Adventure and romance fills this captivating memoir. French Illusions by Linda Kovic-Skow touches the heart and inspires dreams." -Cheryl C. Malandrinos, The Book Connection

"This is a wonderful debut memoir, made much more appealing because it is true. A well written, fast-paced book enhanced by sprinkles of French..."

EBook only $3.99. Watch my the book trailer - it's a lot of fun.

To keep the momentum going, the book I'm currently reading:

Hopeless by Coleen Hoover
Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies...

That's what Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she's never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.

So. . . is this meant to be a thread where you recommend your own books as representative of the genre?

Or a thread where you recommend books in the genre -- not your own -- to others?

Really, it shouldn't be both. . . .the first is appropriate for the Bazaar (here) . . . but the second is more appropriate for the Corner.

Apologies, didn't think it would be an issue. I created it for the former, but figured it would be a good place to share general suggestions, too. Should I delete my previous post?

Thank you for creating this thread, Matthew! I've been trying to think about how to classify my writing for a while now, because the mature themes would get eyebrow raises if listed as "YA," but at the same time, the skip to "Adult" would be a little much because the characters are around 18 to early 20s, and still have their fair share of growing to do. "New Adult." I like it.

I'm the author of YEAR OF THE WOLF and YEAR OF THE TIGER, the first two books in the epic urban fantasy Changeling Sisters series, about a sister duo's adventures in South Korea. (2.99 and 3.99 respectively, available on Amazon/Smashwords.com) For more on the books, as well as short little anecdotes about South Korea (hiking, sights, events) feel free to check out my blog:

On a personal note, I'd love more suggestions about fantasy NA books in college settings- perhaps I'll hop over to the Book Corner, too :)

My NA novel FRESHMAN FORTY was just released on Amazon. Here is the link and description. It's already receiving some nice reviews. Thanks for reading!

http://www.amazon.com/Freshman-Forty-ebook/dp/B00BJ60GK8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362338551&sr=8-1&keywords=freshman+forty

When eighteen-year-old Laurel Harris discovers she's pregnant four weeks into the start of her freshman year at prestigious Colman College, she has all intentions of telling her emotionally-distant father. But being away at school makes it too easy to hide. And while she can't explain to her friends or to herself even, the reasons why she doesn't want the baby's father to find out about the pregnancy, the rest of her world begins to unravel.

Freshman year is hard enough. Most girls get through by forming close friendships, finding new boys and a phone call from mom or dad on Sunday. Laurel has to navigate all of it while hiding an unplanned pregnancy from a summer fling....

An imperfect heroine plagued by bad choices and haunted by the memory of her deceased mother and grandparents, readers will surely identify with Laurel as she confronts teen pregnancy, in secret, in a remote college setting.
