Every writer who wants to be an author, and every published author, ought to subscribe to PG's blog. Not only does he reveal the legal issues behind the publishing business, he follows a lot of good material from other bloggers and news sources, related to the publishing business in general and the new trends in self-publishing/independent publishing.
