The Sword of Kirakath by Ryne Billings.

Millennia ago, Archmage Kyran foretold the coming of a hero. His words have been all but forgotten.

Now, after one hundred years of peace world has been at peace, the time has come.

As a hidden hand guides things into motion that will bathe Arcadia in war once more, the Last Son of Kirakath has no choice but to become the man he was meant to be.

He is their only hope.

Book 1: Through the Flames
Caleb was just a simple hunter's apprentice. He wanted nothing more than a simple life and was content to live out the days of his life beneath the green bowers of the sun-dappled forest. But when he returns home to find his village massacred and his family dead, the whispered words of his dying father hurl him onto a path of blood and vengeance.

In his epic quest for revenge, Caleb will discover that the mightiest of heroes, like the strongest of metals, can only be forged within the hottest fires and under the greatest pressures. His is a destiny which will forever change the face of Arcadia. It is a destiny which can only be reached in one way:

Through the Flames.

Book 2: The Shadows of Caldreth

With his quest for revenge complete, Caleb finds that life is without purpose. As much as he'd like to, he just cannot adapt to a normal life after everything that he had gone to. But it seems that he won't have to. When assassins guided by a hidden hand begin to hunt him, Caleb must embark upon another adventure. This time, survival is his only motive.

In his quest for self-defense and the protection of those he calls friends, Caleb will discover that his destiny is far greater than he had ever expected... and it's just beginning.

Book 3: The Blood of Kirakath
Now wanted for the murder of Count Clovis, Caleb and his friends have sought refuge on the Isle of Akabar. In the lawless land, there is no time to relax. The Blood of Kirakath must be cleansed, and a new enemy is out for blood. All the while, answers begin to surface, as does his destiny.

Omnibus 1: Rise of the Champion

Millennia after Archmage Kyran's death, a hero that he foretold has been born. He must overcome the harrowing trials before him in order to become the hero that he is meant to be, for only he can save the land from what is to come.

With bandits, assassins, and dark mages standing in his path, nothing will be the same.

The rise of the champion is at hand.

Thanks. I hope you like it.
I have a bit of news to reveal. The Shadows of Caldreth, the second book in the Sword of Kirakath series, will be coming out Late August/Early September. It should show up sometime between August 15th and September 1st.

That's not the only news though. The Sword of Kirakath is officially the first of many planned series set in the world of Terra Fatum. I had always planned to write more than one series in the world, but now there are at least 31 books planned outside of that series.

The first series that I plan on adding to the Terra Fatum books (after The Sword of Kirakath, of course) will be called The Shadow Hunter Trilogy, which fills in the story of Hector Green, Caleb of Kirakath's mentor. It will also introduce Alec Valentine, a magister hero that plays a vital role in The Sword of Kirakath.

At the present, it is undecided as to how I will write the various series, though. I might wait until The Sword of Kirakath is finished to begin The Shadow Hunter Trilogy, or I might start writing one book of each series, off and on, after The Witch of Akabar (The Sword of Kirakath, Book 3) is out.

I'll reveal more at a later date, though I'll probably blog about it at that time.

Well, I haven't posted on this in a little bit, so I'll give an update now.

The Shadows of Caldreth looks like it might be delayed back to September 1st again. My laptop is still in the shop, so I haven't been able to write too much. More on that at a later date.

I will also say that I'm doing rather well on Through the Flames.
Right now, I have 3 reviews (one 5 star review and two 4 star reviews), along with a total of 128 sales total.

I have had a total of 118 sales through Amazon US, 2 sales through Amazon UK, 2 sales through Smashwords, and 6 sales through Barnes & Noble.

Though I'm adding my sales of June and July together there, let me just say that I only managed to get 39 sales in June. I'm looking to break 100 this month.

But anyways, I sincerely hope that everyone who gets my book enjoys it.

Sorry about the delay, but you'll get there. :)

Thanks. One can only hope. :D

Anyways, I'm making it official: the Shadows of Caldreth is being pushed back to its originally planned release date. My computer is still in the shop, and my hard drive was ruined. So in the process of fixing my computer, I've lost everything on it. That includes all of my notes for The Sword of Kirakath.

I never backed anything up, unfortunately.

On a good note, I've actually gotten into the one hundred sales a month club already. Well it's at 212 copies of Through the Flames for the month of July right now, so I must be doing fairly well.

I'm still only at three reviews at the moment, but at least they're all positive.
Things are looking up for The Sword of Kirakath.

Through the Flames has now sold 455 copies total and still has one 5 star and two 4 star reviews. In addition to that, it's regularly in the Top 100 for Epic Fantasy e-books and for Magic & Wizards on Amazon US.

The Shadows of Caldreth is 30k words in right now and is set to be completed around August 16th, though I don't expect to see it released until September 1st. It's coming along nicely so far, regardless.

On another note, Through the Flames is now available through iTunes/iBooks at http://itunes.apple.com/us/book/through-flames-the-sword-kirakath/id450482610?mt=11

Thanks to everyone who had read Through the Flames already, and I thank everyone that gives it a try in the future humbly. It means a great deal to me.
It's been a while since I've posted, but I have reason to now.

The Shadows of Caldreth is finally for sale after many delays.

In addition to that, my total books sales for my first six months (from June 15th to November 30th, actually) ended up at 1114. For those of you who purchased Through the Flames, I give you thanks from the bottom of my heart. It means a great deal to me that you've chosen to read my work. I only hope that you continue to do so in the future.

In other news, Through the Flames has dropped to $1.99 for the next week, unless it sells well at the price point, in which case I'll leave it there permanently.
Terra Fatum = the Land of Fate.  (So says Google's Latin translator.)  Interesting!

Congrats on those sales!

Thank you, and that's where I came up with the name of the world. ;D

I really liked using translators when I first started writing.
I've been working on The Witch of Akabar, along with doing the planning for a new project called The World of Khorus. Essentially, The World of Khorus is just an overarching name of several series set in a new fantasy world that is more hardcore with elves, dwarves, orcs, and the like in it. More on that later.

The Shadows of Caldreth has already garnered a five star review, much to my pleasure. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3NMRH82J7PFMO/ref=cm_cr_dp_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B006H0WY5Q&nodeID=133140011&tag=&linkCode=

Thanks to everyone who has already purchased Through the Flames and/or The Shadows of Caldreth. It means a great deal to me to know that I have great readers like you.
It's been a while since I've posted on here. I'd like to say I've been kept busy, but that's only a small part of it. I won't go into all that at the moment though.

Since the last time I've been on, Through the Flames has received one 5 start and three 4 star reviews, though The Shadows of Caldreth still only has one. You can find them on Amazon US if you wish to read them.

As of yesterday, an updated version of both books has been put up on Amazon. I reread them and found places where I would have done differently today, and I found that a number of them actually corrected some of the complaints that were made by reviewers. Anyways, I'm attempting to have it made so that past customers can get the updated versions, but it could take a while.

The main reason I went back into the books is to make sure that there were no issues connecting the first two books to the third book.

The third volume of the series, The Blood of Kirakath (formerly known as The Witch of Akabar) will be put up for sale at the end of this month. I hope to have everything about it finished by Christmas Eve, but it may have to be put off until a day or two after Christmas.

I have also decided to do a little sale in anticipation of The Blood of Kirakath. Until New Year's Day, Through the Flames will be dropped to 99c. I just dropped the price, so it may take a little while to show.

Anyways, thanks for reading.

Last week, I said that I hoped to have The Blood of Kirakath up for sale by Christmas, or a few days later if that didn't work.

I uploaded The Blood of Kirakath yesterday, along with Rise of the Champion, the first Sword of Kirakath Omnibus. So you can get the next volume for $2.99 or get all three for $4.99.

That's not all the news I have though. At the moment, Through the Flames is free. The Shadows of Caldreth will also be free in a couple days as part of my New Year's Sale.

Thanks for reading.
So far, it's been a pretty good new year. I haven't had any new reviews, but I've finished four chapters of another book and have seen my sales grow more than I had imagined. I haven't had such a good month in that department since June, and it's only the sixth.

I also went in and looked at all the books I've sold since I first published Through the Flames in June of 2011.

From that point to the end of December of 2012, I sold 2,109 copies of Through the Flames, 1,017 copies of The Shadows of Caldreth, 22 copies of The Blood of Kirakath, and 10 copies of Rise of the Champion. The sales were mainly split between US and UK, though I had a few through DE too. That's a total of 3,021 sales. I also had 7 copies of my books borrowed through the Kindle Owner's Lending Library and gave away 1,969 books through promotions.

All in all, I'm fairly pleased with my success so far, and I want to thank everyone that has supported me.
