Hi, every one.  I've had my Kindle for about a week but I'd been thinking about getting one since they first came out. 

I am 62 and live in Wichita, KS.  I've just about given up watching my favorite TV shows so I can read on my Kindle.

Sundog has helped me to turn off the TV.  I live alone.  Especially in the evenings, my TV was on whether there was anything worth while watching or not.  Now, unless there is a favorite program on, I turn the TV off cuz . . . I want to look at Sundog's screen.

Hi tecwritr, and welcome!  I could easily give up the tv too.  As long as I have my Kindle I am good to go.

Not sure I could give up TV totally but I definitely don't watch as much.  I do tend to multi-task and read during commercials of some shows I love to watch....
