I'm looking to have my YA paranormal romance revolving around Norse mythology ready to release by Labor Day and I'm looking into how to market it. At the moment it's still in the early editing phases and I'm looking for an artist for the cover art, so it's obviously not ready to "show off" yet. I'm trying to look at this from a business perspective and want a plan in place for the direction of my first release.

My question is, how early do you generally start marketing a release? I assume if different for me, a relative newbie, than it is for seasoned writer who already has a following. A number of Indie review sites aren't taking submissions right now (probably due to the glut on the market); is there a list of blogs or other sites that review? I have no problems scheduling ahead to get my place in line, but do I need to submit the final product in order to queue up? What marketing opportunities are there for pre-publication? Thanks for any advice. :)
