I would like to respectfully request that the KindleBoards header have pics of both the Kindle 2 and Kindle 1 as there are plenty of us who have chosen not to upgrade for one reason or the other. Having just a pic of the Kindle 2 gives the impression that this is a Kindle 2 board only and us Kindle 1'ers have been forgotten. Thank you for considering my suggestion.

I don't know that I feel forgotten but I would like the board header to reflect that there are still plenty of Klassic Kindles, not just K2's

I think that the pictures are links to buy the Kindle on Amazon. Doesn't that make money for the board it is bought through the link? Off subject a bit, but when I use the link to buy a book, I usually buy several. KindleBoards does get credit for each book as long as I use the link to get there, right?

Thanks for the feedback on our headers. I have some preferences about our header design, but am discussing this with the mods. I certainly view us as a site for all Kindle owners, no matter which generation of player. I'm also thinking long-term, with the likelihood that well see a new kindle every year or so, and what to do when there are a bunch of kindle generations out there. But I hear you and am married to a Kindle 1 owner... So will give this some more consideration.

If people are really concerned about it, you could animate the header to switch between Kindle versions.  It would keep the clutter to a minimum and make everybody happy... until it doubled the load time of the main page.
