Underline Words

I have Popular Highlights turned off but some words are still underlined on my PW.

Can I remove the underline?

Do you have both Popular Highlights AND Public Notes turned off?

And have you tapped on the underlined word to see what it is?

I have both turned off.

When I tap I go to the notes section of the book.

It sounds like there may be embedded links? That take you to notes material?

Which book are you looking at?

i've seen this in a number of non-fiction books. it's hyperlinks to index or notes or ither sections on that subject
